MMMBaby!

Tay and his kids

Yes that's Taylor "MMMBop" Hanson who recently gave birth to her third child, River Samuel.

No wait! Taylor is a "HE"! Hahahahaha

Honestly, Taylor is way prettier than his wife, me and most of the "real" ladies out there.
Proof # 1..... More

Can you say, "MMMM Ouch"?

Speaking of babies, check out these cutest Asian twins here. Hmp! Someday I'm going to fly to China or Korea to adopt one. Hahahaha, joke!

I'm Betty, the Ugly One

Who could not forget Mexicanovela's (soap opera) Yo soy Betty La Fea? I must admit am an avid watcher eons ago.

Good news to the show's U.S-based fans. Salma Hayek is taking Betty La Fea's popularity to America in an ABC show entitled, Ugly Betty. It airs Thursday 8pm (PT). Hayek is the producer of the show. It's funny that Betty is fond of watching telenovelas that has Hayek on it and that Betty's nephew is a homosexual (he dislikes dulce de leche flan because it's fattening!).

Kamayan

Kamayan - Filipino word which means, "To eat with bare hands".

...... A skill associated with laziness (to wash utensils, that is! hehehe) and that I never perfected;

Someone blog about the Rules of Kamayan. Read it
here.

Filipinos steered away from doing the kamayan infront of foreigners. They think it will offend the latter. I met foreigners who don't mind doing it or seeing people do it, but I know some who vowed not to try it, thinking it's unsanitary or barbaric.

I had my kamayan skill put to test when Ryan treated me to an early dinner of rice and short ribs. According to the so-called Rules of Kamayan (see above) you must use your thumb to push the food. In my case, I use all five fingers to push it inside my mouth. Hehehe. Food just tastes even bitter err better when eaten with bare hands!

headless chickas

Filipino joke as told by Russell Peters (Comedy Central):

What will you get when a *Filipino marries someone from Holland?
Answer: a JalapeƱo!

If you dig jokes about Indian, Indian accent, outsourcing... well, Asian in general then you better watch Russels, here!

I heard Calos Mencia made fun (during his gig in Seattle) of Filipino's inability to pronounce the "p" and "f" sound properly. Fatawa sya. Dee dee dee.

Todai's Sushi

Yesterday was buffet day for me, Ryan and Hugo. We went to Todai (Sushi/Asian and Seafood buffet) in Redmond. Though I had two rounds of desserts, food were mediocre. I'm not going to complain how pricey it was (US$15++/person) since it's Hugo who paid for it. Hehehe

Our foodtrip left Hugo's pocket whining and our bellies hurting, that we can barely walk towards the upper level of
Redmond Town Center. But we still made it to the top err upper level.

We got bored staring at the kids with their four-legged
friends playing in the fountain area, that I initiated the photo session:

Ryan

Two cute chicks caught Hugo's attention
hehehehe

Then we went to
Love Sac (couch/bean bag store) and spent a good 20 minutes lying down on their moviesacs. Makakapal talaga ng mga mukha namin. Hehehe

Pixelicious

My new cellphone displays EDGE yet the data connection part (browser, sending MMS and video msg) is yet to be configured since it's an unlocked phone from Europe! Heheh. By the way, am just a prepaid user.

(which am starting to dislike)

The Motorola Phone Tool Kit
Interface

A high-tech cellphone is futile since I rarely call and don't really have that much contacts to exchange SMS/MMS with. Am not one of those people whose fingers seem to be glued on their PDA/Smartphones only to find out they're just playing games. Yikes!

Narcissism Section

I weighed in at 110lbs ---

Am fat by Philippine standards but here in America?! Thank God, NO! Hahahaha

I think my arms are bigger than my thighs...hahah
(but I've been carrying heavy groceries/loads lately....)

I got my Father's lips so...

For 23 years, I only had ONE visit to a dentist!

That's about it! Babooshh!

On winning the lottery?!

Another nigerian scam reached my Yahoo! Mail's inbox. Click here to view content.

Since there was a phone number, I decided to call it (Country code is 27 - it is in South Africa!). A middle-aged man answered in a sleepy tone. Instinctive reflex made me hang up. Hehehe

I was supposed to watch Comedy Central's Carlos Mencia tonight (for free! courtesy of Ryan's sister) at Paramount Theatre in Seattle but then with my Live-In Assistant job, I can't go out at night, 7days a week.

FYI: Carlos Mencia is a Latino counterpart of Rex Navarette. Though I find the latter, hackneyed! Rex pokes fun only at Filipino - American habits while Carlos at ALL races, including his!

Bedtime Story

Back in Kirkland, it's just an Airbed. Now in Bellevue, it's a Queen Bed. Yes, there's a progress here --- at least in terms of sleeping area that is! ;)

The bed, cabinet and lampshades belong to "lola puti"

This announcement is a little late but for recordkeeping purposes ....

I quit work as an Internal Helpdesk Support for Expedia. It's a great company and a relaxed tech support job but if you're a habitue of this blog, you already know the reason(s) why I keep on quitting at my tech jobs.

That's all, I thank you! Hehehe

Isn't Suri, adorable?
She looks more like her daddy Tom Cruise

A different kind of high

I should quit at my internal helpdesk job and look for another elderly companion position. The latter seems to stimulate my dopamine (sense of pleasure).

Am doing poorly at my technical job but my manager thinks otherwise. But, whose opinion matters most?

Inday Part 2

- almusal (orange juice, yoghurt, dinner rolls with salami, mayo and swiss cheese)
- tanghalian (low fat milk and sandwich - baguette with mayo, mustard, salami, ham, swiss cheese and pickle relish)

Hahaha. Yung salad ko - Romaine lettuce with Italian dressing, cubed salami and mozzarella cheese. Akalain mo bang nasarapan si lola! Hehehe

The Pinay in Me

My dipper a.k.a tabo
it's more of a plastic napkin holder, but it doesn't matter
improvise..improvise

Shame on some people who use toilet paper/tissue to clean their "behind" after taking some time on their "throne"..... Just Kidding!

Inday - I - yay!

"Inday i-yay will olweyz..... lab yu-uhooo ohhhh..will olweyz lab yuuuuuu"

heheh... joke!

Unang gabi, sniff agad ng hotspot. Ako pa, kahit walang makain basta may internet! Hehehe. Syemes, *exclusive village, walang available? Ay meron isa, kaso secured. Hehehe. Free internet...for now!

- basic household chores (may live-out housekeeper, garderner at taga paligo si lola)
- weekly grocery
- taga pulot ng daily newspaper sa porch
- taga kuha ng sulat sa mailbox

Parang tsimay ba? Eh tsimay ako noon pa, sa Pilipinas.

Prweba:

Hehehehe
